How to delete your account
Right now: fill in the form below or email privacy@antiskintclub.com (TBC) from the email address you signed up with. This works whether you’ve joined the waitlist, contacted us or entered a contest.
Once accounts launch: you’ll also be able to delete your account yourself in the app or on the website, from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleting the app from your phone doesn’t delete your account — you’ll need to do this too.
Only want fewer emails? You don’t have to delete everything. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from us and we’ll stop sending updates.
What we delete
When we delete your account, we permanently remove:
- your profile and sign-in details
- your waitlist sign-up and marketing preferences (apart from a note not to contact you)
- your Planner goals, tasks and habits
- everything you’ve saved in Power Tools — CVs, interview prep, job tracker and money manager entries
- your Pod bookings and attendance history
- your Personal Mentor bookings, messages and notes (unless we need to keep a safeguarding record)
- messages and forms you’ve sent us, once we no longer need them to deal with your request
Deletion is permanent. Once it’s done, we can’t get your account or data back, and you’ll need to sign up again if you want to rejoin.
What we may keep
In a few cases we may need to keep some information, but only what’s necessary and only for as long as we need it:
- Legal and financial records — for example, records of payments, which UK law requires us to keep for 6 years.
- Safeguarding records — if there has been a concern about someone’s safety, we may need to keep a record of it and what we did.
- Disputes and complaints — information we need to deal with a complaint, legal claim or breach of our Terms of Use.
- A record of your request — a minimal note that you asked us to delete your data, and when we did it, so we can show we’ve done it and don’t contact you again.
- Anonymised statistics — numbers that can’t identify you, such as how many people attended a Pod.
Things you’ve shared with others. Messages you posted in group chats may stay visible to other members but will no longer be linked to your profile (they’ll show as from a former member). If you spoke in a recorded Pod session, the recording may stay available to other members — tell us if you’d like us to consider editing out or removing your contribution.
See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
How long it takes
- We’ll email you to confirm the request really came from you. This protects you from someone else deleting your account.
- Once confirmed, we aim to delete your account and data within one month, as required by UK GDPR. If your request is particularly complex, we may need up to two more months — we’ll tell you within the first month if so, and why.
- Copies in our secure backups are overwritten on a rolling basis and drop out within a short period after that. Until then, they’re kept safe and not used for anything else.
- We’ll email you to let you know when it’s done.
If you’ve got a paid membership when accounts and payments launch, please cancel it first (or tell us in the form) so you’re not charged again. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you’ll need to cancel there.
Other options
Want a copy of your data before you go, or just want us to correct or stop using some of it? Use Request my data instead.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — details are in our Privacy Policy.
