Started a new job? How to smash your first 90 days
Getting the job is a big win — but the first few months are where you build your reputation. Here's how to settle in and stand out.

You got the job. Massive. Now comes the bit nobody really talks about: actually settling in. New people, new routines, new everything.
Ask the questions early
In your first few weeks, nobody expects you to know everything. Ask now — it gets harder to ask 'basic' questions three months in. Keep a notes app list so you don't ask the same thing twice.
Be reliable before you're brilliant
On time, phone away, doing what you said you'd do. It sounds simple because it is — and it's exactly what managers remember.
Find your people
Learn names. Say yes to the team lunch. Find one person you can ask the 'is this normal?' questions to.
Plan your money from payday one
A regular wage changes everything — if you plan it. Set up a budget and a savings pot before lifestyle creep moves in.
And remember: support doesn't stop when you get the job. Your mentor and the Next Chapter Pod are there for the hard days too.
Same you. Bigger possibilities.
